Hi everyone,

I am working on a project which involves simulation of carbon capture process. to this end, I am following a user's guide for simulation in aspen plus.

part of this user's guide indicates:

'The unsymmetric electrolyte NRTL property method (ENRTL-RK) and PC-SAFT equation of state are used to compute liquid and vapor properties, respectively, in this rate-based MEA model.'

I have done a lot of research, but i have not been able to specify 2 property methods based on phase of the materials.

any thoughts?

Sincere thanks in advance,

Aspen+ allows to appoint one EOS to one block. If you want to model phase equilibruim for G-L and L-L separately by separate EOS then you need to use different blocks for G-L and L-L separation.

When choosing your global thermo method in tab 'Method, Specifications' you will first select your base method in the left column. In the right column you can check the 'modify' box and use a different property method for the vapor phase. You want to avoid using different methods for different blocks when possible.
