Hello,

I am trying to define the F-factor for a fully insulated tank. the insulation is made up off Rock wool (0.044W/(m.K)) with a thickness of 0.1m. the tank itself will be storing Bitumen at a service temperature of 150°C (423.15K).

Since the insulation parameters I have are very different from those presented in Table 9, I suppose there must be a different way to determine the F-factor.

My understanding is that you need to apply your engineering judgment, the table provided is based on empirical data. 

Consider safety margin and Obtain approval from the client or supervisor before deciding to use a lower factor to reduce the size of the PSV.
