Hello everyone,

I am working with a GNLW224E decanter centrifuge and processing water with a high gypsum content. I have two key questions:

  1. What are the recommended scroll and bowl speeds for efficiently separating water with a high gypsum concentration? I want to ensure optimal separation while preventing excessive wear on the equipment.
  2. The centrifuge frequently clogs due to gypsum buildup. What are the best practices to prevent clogging and maintain continuous operation? Any suggestions on operational adjustments, chemical additives, or maintenance routines would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

1)

To me the way to get the right parameters is to perform tests. You should have performed lab tests and pilot tests prior to purchase the industrial equipment.

BTW you should contact GN, they have for sure a data base with different materials and operating conditions to support your query.

https://www.gnseparation.com/contact

They have contact in China if you cannot get contact with US .

2)

Time to time you need to clean the equipment, no option.

Edit: 2 units in parallel, 1 stand by and 1 in operation

Good luck

Breizh
