Hi everyone!

I have an uncommon task from an oil treatment unit -   calculation of tank volume sufficiency in case of commercial oil delivery stop for 3 days. I\'ve built this scheme in Hysys Dynamic Calculations, but I'm disappointed with the results. Tanks with the volume of 3000, 1000, 1500 are filled literally in a day with the preparation volume of 1400 m3/d of liquid. If anyone has solved a similar problem, please advise what points to pay attention to when calculating, thank you!

The task is common. Unless there is much more to the question than stated, this is a logistics problem where no process simulation is needed. Determine how much oil storage is required daily. Multiply the result by the number of days of inventory required. Calculate the tank volume needed to hold that volume of inventory.

There's no need for simulation, let alone a dynamic one, to do an exercise of essentially mass balance.

Try to double check your incoming and outgoing flows.
