Hi

 

I want to calculate heat loss from a cylindrical tank containing a fluid at 80 C. there is no mixer in the tank and tank content is heated by steam coil from ambient temperature to 80 C.

tank dimension and fluid properties are available.

indeed, in warm up period, some heat is lost be warming of tank shell. i would like to calculate this heat loss , too.
