Hallo,

I'm currently working on an acetylene gas piping project. Due to some reasons: 1. restriction of space, end user requests to lay the pallets in the way that longer pipes and bends are required, 2. the application of switchover panel - switching between 2 inlets when pressure drop to 3 bar (the device can only support 3 bar minimum), we have to locate the acetylene regulator far from acetylene gas pallets. This means the pressure of acetylene gas inside the pipe would be around 16~17bar. Layout as shown in the attached picture.

What measures can be taken to maintain the existing layout and switchover panel? Thanks in advance.

I'm curious, how many cylinders do they go through in a year?

Is the drawing of the existing  or proposed layout?  It's not clear to me which it is.  Show both.  More information, better replies.

Hi,

I think your design is correct. Seamless pipe, fully welded, no thread.

What do you expect from us? It's more a mechanical post.

Probably good to look at MSDS and recommendation.

Are the four pallets connected to the regulator at once or one by one?

You may need to talk to your HSE guy and contact the local safety bureau for validation.

Good luck.
