I have some questions about PFR reactor simulations in DWSIM. Honestly, I don't understand how the kinetic and heterogeneous catalytic reactions work. For the ammonia reaction, I tried using the Temkin-Pyzhed model, which, according to the literature, is in kmol/(m³*h). However, when I try to use it for the heterogeneous catalytic reaction, it's only in kmol/(kg*h). I have the option to enter "catalyst loading," but I don't know how it actually works in the simulator—whether it multiplies, divides, or something else.

I also have questions about the reactor specifications. There are three options: "reactive volume," length, and diameter. I'm not sure if "reactive volume" is calculated based solely on the length and diameter of the equipment.

Reactive Volume is the length and diameter after the volume of the catalyst is subtracted.  Assumed is a circular cross section. total volume is pi/4 * radius**2.  

Hope this clarifies definitions
