Hi,
My time in China I've been working with several design institutes, they have all the data and resources to support engineering work.
One of the largest design firms was TCC (Tianjin).
Don't expect people sharing assets belonging to international companies and disclose their Know How.
Note: Why don't you talk to PetroChina, Sopo Group or others in the business?

You should do your own searches. Don’t stop til you find what you want.
It's not that I don't want to search; my English is poor, which makes searching slow and inaccurate

What about asking Seniors within your organization?
You may feel it as a weakness but could be rewarding.
Good Luck
