Dear All,
As you know one of the most important blocks in simulators environment are columns.
In order to converge column blocks we need to adjust some specs to set the degree of freedom to zero.
The degree of freedom formula for a column is:
(No. of Products)+(No. of Energy Streams)-(No. of Aqoues Products)-2
Open steam streams should not be included in energy streams. Also for columns with side strippers the outlet steam from these stippers should not be included in product streams.
Who knows about the concept behind of this formula?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers.
