Hello every one,
I am hopping to exchange knowledge with users of Aspen PIMS, I am a chemical engineer working in crude oil refinery. I will try my best to answer all questions I receive (regarding Aspen PIMS or/and any other subject related to chemical engineering).
My new topic is about using two measuring basis in the same module, i.e. using both mass and volume units in the module. This is suggested due to the fact that our sales differ in measuring units according to the product itself, we sell gasoline and diesel in Liters but asphalt and fuel oil in tons. Incase any one has experience in constructing a two basis (volume and mass) module or any other comments and suggestions I would be more than welling to hear.
Although replies are preferred to be within the forum to generalize the benefit of any such discussion my personal email address for detailed technical issues is as follows: thaher11@yahoo.com
Kind regards
alawi
