Scale-up Of R &d Projects

please guide me getting more information regarding scale-up (technology transfer from R&D to comercialize plant). how it proceed? what are different stages involve in it? what are the diff. method ? how optimization plays a vital role in it?

regarding this any information you can provide , plz provide me . related referances also give .hoping for a good knowledge transfer.

Generally, R&D projects will be commercialised in following way:

Lab Experiments
Demo experiments to Scaleup team
Scale up team lab experiments
Scale up team experiments in Pilot plant
Optimization
Pilot plant to Commercial plant.

In a good technology transfer or scaleup process you 'll have to gain good knowledge at lab scale of the process of which you are going to be scale up.

The main part of scale up team to observe the lab demo seriously, and then move ahead with pilot plant team member.
