Hello Forum
I again need help regarding well testing facilities see the requirement from one of my client;
Quote” Well testing facility on well platforms shall consist of multi-port valve (remote operated) with orifice meter & Multi Phase Flow Meter (MPFM) for measurement of oil/condensate, water and gas flow” Unquote
What I understand from above sentence that multi-port valve is to replace the conventional test header . This multi-port valves direct the well in testing mode through a Multi Phase Flow Meter (MPFM)
But I never used this type of valve and I could not get supplier for this valves.
If anybody has experience on this please help me
Thanks
Deepak

Deepak,
This reply may be very late, and you might have already got the info you require but in any case please clarify with your client if there is really a need for the senior orifice (gas metering). We had a similar case when one of our gas wells started producing liquids. We replaced the senior orifice on the flow arm with the Multi Phase Flow Meter. A well sized and caliberated MPFM (From a reputed supplier) is accurate enough and is a means for reliable quantification of liquids & gas produced from the well.
The multiselector manifold , basically comprises a housing with many production inlets. The individual wells are connected to the various inlets. It also has a main production outlet and a test outlet. Within the housing is a selector - the only moving part - which can be connected to any of the production inlets. While production continues through the other inlets, the flow from the inlet to which the selector is connected is diverted through a multiphase flow meter before it joins the production header. It helps if you want to test individual wells at periodic interwells...if you need continuous monitoring go for meters for each flow arm. Given the space constraints on some offshore platform/s and complex pipng the Multiport selector clearly saves space. Also these selector systems are automised and can be operated from remote.
Please note that both the MPFM & the multiport selector are long lead items. The whole process of procurement would take at least six months (3-4 months delivery from order). You can start sending out enquiries along with the process parameters (min-normal-max) to the all the known suppliers of MPFMs & the mutifort selector.
For MPFMs...you can try Schlumberger (Framo), Roxar (Fluenta), Agar, & Haimo (from China). The Chinese supplier provies a skid mounted units with larger footprint. For the multiport selector contact Schlumberger (Mumbai-if you are in India,Sharjah in the middle east, Norway in Europe...I don't know where their American office is located).
If you are in India you can contact Bhuvenesh Dadoo or Kevin o` Rourke in their Mumbai Andheri office and they will help you with your MPFM & multiport selector requirement.
Regards,
