Good day to everyone,

In the project of connecting several multi-port selector valves to the flowmeter, is it necessary to install check valve at each individual multi port valve test line outlet? There are 5 multiport valves and 1 flowmeter.

The purpose is to provide individual flow measurement of each single stream (from production well) entering each multi-port valve. In other words, if we need to measure single flowrate from any of 26 production wells, how can we provide that flow cannot occur in unwanted direction - i.e., from the test line of any of the multi-port valve that is being measured at the moment, back to the test-lines and ports of other multi-port valves?

I appreciate your comments. Also, it would be very nice if someone can recommend a literature about 8-port valve principle of operation.

Best regards, gentlemen
