Hi friends,

We are starting an amine unit for gas sweeting process by next month. during commossioning what are the main things need to observed for proper operation?. we are using tertiary amine(aMDEA). we have high CO2 as acid gas in inlet stream.Which are the critical areas to be monitored?

Focus on the guidelines provided by BASF (Supplier of aMDEA process) related to the concentration of ingredients e.g. Amines, Activator, passivator etc. The ratios & absolute concn are very important in order to keep system under optimized & safe zone.

Will advice you to search some failure reports on net related to various amine system whcih will help you in understanding critical areas.
