when a elastic material like rubber stretched work done
in stretching against restoring forces is stored as potential
energy,same as a spring.
a rubber can do work if we attach a load to it
while regaining original length.
where as in ideal gas which also resists compression
and that work done is internal energy increase.
why it is not stored as poten.energ.
p.e is arises when ever there is a resistance(force) and work done against it,hence there is change in position or configuratuion,hence p.e.
1. ideal gas compression also has resistence why this not called p.e.
2.if itis not so then how this work of compression rises temperature how can we physically visualise this
rise and prove microscopically ,how their momentum riseby
compression.[FONT=Courier][SIZE=7][SIZE=7][COLOR=blue]
