Hi there!

I'm new here, and would really appreciate some help with an assignment I have been working on for what seems like days...

If it helps, I am doing questions 8.1 and 8.4 in Treybal's Mass-transfer operations text. (Treybal, 1980, page 336 - 337)

This question is about question number 8.4. From the information given, I think I was able to find all the values for the gas stream, and am not sure how to proceed to find the X values.

Also, how do I go on to find the values for the Equilibrium curve?

I keep going in circles because I think I am confused about where and how I use Raoult's law, and I also think I may have found the original mole fraction incorrectly as I used Raoult's law to do it.

I am sorry if this question seems rather broad and vague, I am just a little lost.

Thank you so much for your time!!!

Chemdee,

it might surprise you to learn that not everybody has that book you mentioned. Not everybody, therefore, will know the questions you are having a problem with.

Furthermore you state that you might have made an error in your (partial) solution. We are not, alas, psychic (heck nobody actually is psychic), so we have no way to confirm or deny your answer.

Maybe you could provide the actual questions and your answer "so far"? Maybe even using bold for the question so we can tell one apart from the other?
