hi,

i have to write a dissortation on "chemical minipulation to meet the demand fo hydrocarbon fuels?"

I was wondering if anyone could give me some suggestions of issues i could include in this, so far i can only think of the minipulation of gasoline; reforming, aromatics etc....

Any help would be grateful!

First you should get the title right... I guess you mean:

"Chemical manipulation to meet the demand for hydrocarbon fuels."

My suggestion is to look at production of biofuels, for example by converting lignocellulosic biomass (e.g. from waste paper, wood waste, pulp sludge and grass straw) to ethanol.

See for example http://www.oregon.go.../biofuels.shtml

Ronny,

As Guido said, this is rather general question and more detailed explanation is required in order to give you some specific answers. This can be related to any specific industry (petrochemical, refining, pharmaceutical etc.), industry economics and blending procedures, EU/USA regulations regarding products quality and many many more...

If you can give us additional information regarding your project, maybe we can be of more help to you.
Regards,
