Asha:

What you are proposing is that Chemical Engineers practice stealing their information rather than acquiring it by studying and calculating to resolve problems. Stealing is the profession of thieves, pirates, and all who decide not to do honest work - but rather steal what they covet from others. This is criminal and is treated as a crime around the world. If you don't know that by now, you are worse off than I think you are.

I am advising you that I will delete this post shortly and I am recommending your removal from our Forums. I make it a point to not associate with thieves or pirates. What they steal from others they will easily steal from me and mine. They have shown they have no moral code or ethics to live by.

There have been several postings in these forums regarding theft of intellectual property and the applicability of copyright law. I know I made several postings including one where someone had offered to send all takers free copyrighted documents. Assuming that these laws vary from country to country and that there may be some with very little familiarity with copyright law, I sought to indicate the ethical problems with such "takings". I was very dismayed after my last posting when a number of other postings repeated requests for the illegal copies of these documents. Apparently there are a lot of visitors and members of this site who have no problem with the blatant disregard for these laws. Since I assume this sites members are more ethical than the general public, that does not speak well of the current moral situation. I second Art's disgust with this behavior.
