I have little bit knowledge about power boiler system design.
If anybody have doubt please ask me particularly 500 MW

Hi Senthil

In Designing of HRSG/Boiler, Economiser inlet Pressure is considering Higher side (say Feed water presure 26 bar for Drum pressure 5.8 bar).
But as an energy conservation, Variable Frequency drive or destaging of pump recomended, resulting low Economiser inlet Pressure than design. Then why not considering the same concept during design of Boiler economiser & required boiler feed pump.
What should be the minimum or maximum velocity in economiser tube.

Do you know how to estimate roughly steam cost based on fuel gas price, boiler capacity.. ? Did you do it for your boiler?
