Dear All
I'm a process engineer, my firm's plan to construction a new Vinyl Chloride Monomer(VCM) Plant then my boss's assigned me to take care about the VCM spherical storage tank lay out at the tank farm. So I want to know the related info about;
-Dike's volumn design, incase of has more than 1 storage tank in dike.
-The distance between each VCM storage tank.
-The distance between VCM dike and other storage tank's dike
Please suggest me the related standard that I should follow up, first I think should be applied the NFPA standard but what's NFPA number!!.
Thank you in advance for your help.

It's a class IA Flammable liquid, so it should be considered under NFPA 30 if my research is correct. Thus OSHA standard is 29 CFR 1910.106--Flammable and Combustible Liquids.
I'm doing a HAZOP project on the cracking process as we speak for a sys. safety mgmt course and saw your post. Figured I would register and help.
I would though do some additional research to make sure it's correct. In other words check DOT, OSHA, and NFPA sites as well as industrial hygienist sites to verify that information. Good luck. If you have any other questions let me know.
