What is the things to watch in pump performance cure before selecting a pump for the system.

There are many things to look for in a pump performance curve when one is evaluating a model for a potential application. It would take a pump Tutorial to discuss them all. I don't think we can do that in a Forum.

I have always believed that the most important thing is how YOUR system curve fits when over-layed on the performance curve. If you haven't done your pre-requisite homework and generated a system curve, there is little you can really gather from the performance curve as to how the pump will perform in your system. All you can do is generalize. As such, then, you are not in a position to select a pump model.


If you haven't generated a system curve, you have little business looking at pump performance curves.
