If I have to buy ten books , for chemical engineers, which will be the top ten. Please suggest. Also please exclude Coulson & Richardson, Ludwig, Smith Vanness, Perry's handbook etc.

Thanks in advance.

Although there are many people around more competent to reply and respond;however i will suggest that list must include Petroleum Refinery Engineering by Nelson(Slightly older version still worth it),Petrolem processing Hanbook by Bland &Davidson&Chemical Pcocess Industries by Shrieve, Hazop and Hazan Probably by Kleitz(Apology if Spelled incorrect or Title referred incorrectly)[/i]
These titles came to my mind instantly excluding those however many other Important one's are there.
Best regards

Hi,

here is two books, these are very good and you will learn by reading, after reading of these books you will feel enoguh competent.
Analysis, synthesis, and design of chemical process by Richard Turton/Richard C.ISBN#0-13-570565-7
[list=1] Process Deisgn Principles by Warren D. Seader, JD Seader, ISBN#0-471-24312-4.

buy both books and go through these books, 1st book is very good for bigners and 2nd book has more detail on deisgning.

Good luck with your study.

It would help knowing what you are looking for. For example do you want a list of books covering core studies like control, separation technologies, reactors, safety etc or do you want to limit yourself to particular industries like pharma, petrochem or even management etc.
