Amine Solution In Boiler Feed Water

I am designing a deaerator and BFW pumps system.Referring to the P&IDs of different plants i found that amine solution has been added at the suction of BFW pumps.
I think the need for adding amine solution is to increase the pH of Boiler Feed water.
But i feel cant we inject the amine solution in the deaerator itself instead of injecting it in suction line of BFW pumps.
Is there any particular reason behind this.

we add amin to deaerator tank and no problem is here.
for better mixing we use a spraying nozzle for amin.
amin act as oxygen scavenger and PH controler to preventing corrosion in boilers.

Hi friend:
As Amine is volatile ,it should be injected outlet of dearator.

I think in addition of reasons, the main function of amin is neutralising of co2 which my be produced in decomposition of bicarbonate of boiler water in high temperature.
QUOTE (process85 @ Sep 28 2008, 01:07 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>

Hi
