Hye

The reason for me to create this new topic is to have a discussion with all of you about my topic which is "WASTEWATER TREATMENT"

I'm planning on participating in NACES (National Chemical Engineering Symposium) in the paper presentation.

My paper presentation topic is "WETLAND : Environmental Friendly Wastewater Treatment)

Besides that, i also planning to use soil filtration.

But the problem is can I get the desired treated water that can be used for everyday activity such as taking bath, washing?

I was planning on using an ozonizer but it is too expensive for me. Cost about $260 to ozonize 2 glass of water(i think)

Hopefully we could discuss about this and i hope you can spend some time with me discussing about this project.

Thank you

I am not clear if you really mean wastewater treatment or water reclamation and supply. Technologies for both differs much because of the composition on inlet. If you mean wastewater, you need to specify if municiapl or industrial...

As far as I know the soil filtration through a bed is often first stage of water reclamation process. It must be followed by other processes as ozonation, ion exchange, chlorination. Ozonation, which you mentioned, must be however followed by adsorption process (on activated carbon) to remove oxidized products, it will not perform well as a single-stage process.

The topic you initiated is very general and broad - it will be easier to discuss and suggest you anything when you are more specific...
