We currently use steam for our distillation columns to decontaminate. Residual water results in product being offspec during restart. Product is flared until on spec.
Does anyone have experience in decontamination of distillation columns with nitrogen or purge gas?
Columns are around + 250m3

Has process licensor has given u feed dryers??
Do u hv recycle line back to feed dryers??
Do u introduce process fluid directly without achieving dryout by nitrogen??
Hmmmmm.
Why u r required to decontaiminate distillation column??
That is gud to decontaiminate by steam.

Excellent suggestion Qalander. People accessing this forum have various levels of proficiency in the English language, and I've seen evidence that quite a few seem to stuggle with basic English. How much harder it is for them to deal with misspelled words and poor construction for the sake of accomodating what might be called modern on-line slang. Even those who speak English as a native language but maybe don't spent a lot of time blogging and twittering have trouble following some posts. Prepare yourselves for professional engineering by learning how to communicate in clear, unambiguous terms. It truly is important.
