hello, i am trying to make a model for a urea plant aswell, can you tell me please where to get the necessary data for the unit operations used? Do you also know a book that can help me with that?

Dear all,
My name is Widodo from PT. Petrokimia Gresik, Indonesia. In our Urea plant we use Toyo ( Aces process ), what about in Petronas?.
In your simulation you use conversion reaction, why dont you use equilibrium reactor by inputing K value. Are you had compare the result with in design mass & heat balance ?. Usually urea simulation liquid model using NRTL and gas phase using SRK model. Thank in advance

I'm simulating plant urea by Hysys and VMG.SIM ( use thermodynamics Urea++ in VMG) but, I don't know how to use VMG.SIM and creat a thermodynamics Urea++ in hysys from VMG.SIM Everybody have books who talk about VMG.SIM.

Dear All,

Simulating a urea plant is not easy as most thermo models are proprietary information.
Most simple process to start with is conventional total recycle urea plant.
Or try to limit your simulation to the section which is of most interest for you.
The zip file is in vmp format, convert/print it in acrobat or word or excell so I can have a look at it ?
