Hi this is srinivasan

I need help how to design impeller for the centrifugal pump and what are all the parameters are required to consider to design the Impeller size.

Srinivasan,

Designing impellers is a specialized job undertaken by pump manufacturers based on pump data such as flowrate, differential head and physical properties such as specific gravity and viscosity. Chemical engineers don't design impellers, they provide pump data sheets for pump manufacturers to quote a pump with a given impeller size and also provide the maximum impeller size that can be installed for a given casing that they have quoted. For a given pump casing, the impeller is trimmed to suit the particular requirement of flow rate and differential head, to give a Best Efficiency or Operating point close to the one given in the data sheet.
