Dear all,

I have 2 questions regarding to my design project entitled as Production of Bioethanol

1- I use batch reactors while simulating fermentation. I put the contents in Chemcad Batch Reactor and it does produce a certain amount of products, however, it does not discharge my products to a defined stream. All of the content remains in the reactor. As a solution to that, I've divided my flowsheet into parts as separate .ccd files where I start a new simulation with amounts that reactor content indicates.

2-I would lile to separate ethanol from water in my distillation column. I have 18 trays, however its temperature distribution is not uniform i.e 1st (top) column has a temperature of 76C while second has 82 and from 3rd to 18th tray temperature is nearly the same. My instructor told us that it is a problem however in other systems that my friends cover (aniline-water) same situation happens.

Thank you
