Goodmorning,
i'm trying to make a database for the prices of piping, flanges, valves, fittings, etc in order to make a preliminary budget price for some projects.

I know that the price of these items is variable (depending on materials, supplier, time etc) but i would like to know if there is some "thumb of rules" for typical materials used in oil&gas (in example carbons teel materials).
In fact, I cannot ask to supplier every time the cost of each item, it would be too long and not important for a preliminary price.

I know also that the best thing is to build-up the database step by step (day by day), but it would be better to have a “starting point” on wich start to work.

A preliminary rules of thumb could be in example:
- price of pipes: xxx USD per kg
- prices of flanges: xxx USD per kg
-prices of manual valves: xxx USD per kg
- prices of fittings:
And so on…

Does anybody have something similar to what I’m searching for?I think that such informations would be very useful for (young) project engineer that are starting to work..

Thank you so much for replies and suggestions.
