Sand removal from flour

In of our projects, our customer has a problem relating to sand separation from flour due to embedded sand

in the raw material before milling.

Sand separation from flour is currently done by first making a slurry with water.

But there is a lot of recurring wear and tear of the processing equipment, especially rotary equipment like

hydrocyclones, pumps, and also pipe bends. Are there better options to remove the sand from the flour?

Thank you,
