Hello,

I am trying to do something in Aspen Plus that I remember being quite easy to do in HYSYS. Basically what i want to do is to specify some stream variables based on the output of another stream. For example if I have a liquid stream coming out of a flash drum with temperature T1, I want to fix the temperature of a different stream (T2) (maybe not even connected to this material flow) to make it always be equal to T1. This way if the temperature going into my flash process (T1) changes , T2 will automatically adjust.

This is just a trivial example, but there are many times where in a process simulation you would like to define stream properties in a relative or variable way, thus limiting the total number of locations for input.

Thanks in advance.

If I remember correctly this is done via calculator, not as friendly as HYSYS but the more flexibility.
