Hi All,
We are designing a produced water tank for one of our projects. The produced water tank is single phase with traces of hydrocarbon. The tank is operated at slightly above atmospheric pressure through nitrogen blanketing.
When it comes to two phase flow, standards provide clear sizing criteria for nozzle.
However when it comes to single phase flow, the sizing criteria for nozzles are not mentioned (to my knowledge) in any standards. My understanding is outlet nozzle will be sized based on line sizing criteria however the inlet nozzle will be sized based on momentum criteria similar to two phase flow.
Request expert opinion on inlet nozzle sizing criteria for single phase flow with relevant standard reference.
Thanks and Regards,
