I have a requset from client to provide slam shut off valve for metering skid.

 

Metering skid has been designed with active mionitor regulators and redundant safety valves.

 

Skid has been in operation since last more than two and half years.

 

My question is it code (ASME B31.8)  requirement to provide slam shut off valve for metering skid?

 

Detialed response with code reference will help me to resolve the queries.
