So I am designing a process wherein I have an exothermic reaction happening in a Isothermal CSTR. I have two feed streams one liquid and one gas (all at atmospheric conditions). The gas streams needs to be compressed.
Does it make sense to heat up the reactor feed to reaction temperature (190 C) maybe using the heat of compression and/or steam?
Or would it make sense to just feed the reactants into the reactor cold? (Can I do this? will it work?)
Thanks!
