I’ve noticed on most motors the supply rating is mentioned in the following fashion:

“230/460 Volts AC—Rectangular Outlet. Operates on 208-230/460 Volts AC”

My question is does the motor run off 230v or 460v? Does the 230/460 mean it can run off either voltage? Also Why does it then mention 208-230/460?

Thank you!
