Good evening,

I am sizing a fan for a dry cooling tower . I have an issue when it comes to calculating the temperature at the outlet of the device.

I have the inlet and outlet of the water to be cooled and the design ambiant temperature.

Thank you in advance

You need to know the amount of air flow

First calculate the heat exchanged from the water side.

From heat exchanged and the amount of airflow you can calculate the change in air temperature.

Then using the change in air temperature calculate the outlet temperature.

You may consider this Link from GEA where you can get documents and software to support your work.

Another document about air cooler.

Good luck.
