HI!

This is my first post.

I have done rating of existing column in Hysys. Now, when I vary the feed on higher side from nominal feed I can see the flooding % in Hysys. I would like to know is there any parameter to look at for weeping inside the column? I have used Lieberman equation to check weeping and flooding in column. Kindly check the following link:

Also, I would like to know that when a process engineer designs a heat exchanger, how much % overdesign is considered for heat duty. As I googled for it, 10% overdesign is considered  Also, the %overdesign differs from equipment to equipment?

Regards,
Bhautesh
