Good day ,
Self ignition temperature can drop very much when Organic materials are leaking inside divided material like rock whool . Consider other insulation material like PU foam or silica based material

Purav,

Fires are generally caused not by the insulation as such, but due to an ignition source causing the insulation which is soaked with hydrocarbons (generally heavy hydrocarbons) to ignite it. The soaked insulation can also get ignited on its own, if the pipe surface temperature is above the auto ignition temperature of the hydrocarbon.

regards,
Benoy
