Question: What is dissolved air flotation?
Keywords: daf,dissolved,air,flotation,separation,emulsion,solids,liquid
Answer: Dissolved air flotation (DAF) involves the addition of pressurized water, supersaturated with air, to release bubbles 30-120 microns in size into an emulsion or solid/liquid mixture. The air bubbles can then attach themselves to the oil or solids in the mixture and float them to the top of the liquid for removal.
