Question: What are some common chemicals used to demulsify oil found in wastewater?

Answer: The ASTM previously mentioned chemicals such as hexane, carbon tetrachloride, chloroform, fluorocarbons, and Freon 113 in rule D 2910. This rule has since been removed and has not been replaced according to the ASTM website (below).
