Answer: Multi-stage steam jet ejectors can be classified as either being noncondensing or condensing. Noncondensing systems can produce vacuums up to 4 in Hg absolute. Condensing systems contain either direct contact or surface condensers between stages and can achieve vacuums up to 5 micrometers Hg absolute.
