Manufacturing Enhancement Act Of 2010

Video from White House Signing

Yesterday, August 11, 2010, President Obama signed into the law the Manufacturing Enhancement Act of 2010. In essence, this bill is designed to temporarily suspend tariffs on raw materials and components that manufacturers need to import into the U.S. because a viable domestic source is not available.

Most are hailing this move as a necessary short term fix to help U.S. manufacturers stay competitive on the global stage. But, is this enough? Post your comments below and let us know what the U.S. really needs to do to preserve its manufacturing base.
