hello, i'm a newbie.
I need to create a model for batch distillation with the software hysys but i'm not able to use it. where can i find a detailed tutorial?

If you are a licensed user of Hysis, this should be no problem. Simply contact Hysis - as per their instructions - and obtain their recommendations on any existing Hysis Tutorials.

It shouldn't be difficult to develop a flowsheet for batch distillation, if you recall the basic features of this unit operation. I don't remember this topic being covered in Aspen tutorials (I might be wrong as well), but here is a link to the University of Florida where you can see the approach used for modelling batch distillation: http://hysys.che.ufl...tion/batch.html

hi, ty for your replies.
i've not the license number at the moment 'cause my teacher installed me Hysys using university license, that i don't know. so i can't ask for aspen help. i've looked at university of california tutorial but it was not so clear to me... :(
