Hello friends,

I have to install a direct acting reducing valve with epdm diaphragm actuator which in its operation manual says seal pot is needed to temperatures above 100ºC

For steam service is needed to fill the seal pot with water.

But for thermal oil service? I have to fill the seal pot also with water?

Thanks in advance and best regards,

Ebron

Though I am not aware of this type of valve and required conditions, Sarco would use water in the seal fot for any handled liquid, including thermal oil of 160 oC . See http://www.spiraxsar...s/SB/gch_29.pdf, Direct acting DRV / DLV .

Thanks friend for your answer,

I saw sarco model and this type is what I have the question to.

Im still doubting because thermail oil and water seems to be no friends.

Im thinking to ask directly to spirax the question.

Thanks as always and best regards,
