Hi guys, I post this message in hoping someone could give a good comparison between Electrical Hazardous Classification for both North America & IEC/ATEX as I'm abit confused, namely the gas group type.

Even with same standard I see some discrepancy namely some website categorize Hydrogen as IIC while classify them as IIB.

It would be great if someone more knowledgeable can post two tables on the Electrical Hazardous Classification for the 2 standards.

i also notice even NEC 500 & 505 have different way of classifying the group.

timestamp,

IP 15 - AREA CLASSIFICATION CODE FOR INSTALLATIONS HANDLING FLAMMABLE FLUIDS

classifies Hydrogen as

Apparatus Sub-Group: IIC

and

Temperature Class: T1

Additionally have a look at the attachment which should help.
