Dear Process experts
We have a low point in flare main header (discharge of flare ko drum)and flare stach.
This issue forced us to use some intermediate KO Drum.
Some people advised to use some vertical piping element for such intermediate flare ko drum.
Our low point in -7 m in compare to ground level becasuse we should pass a highway!
Our flare stack is in oppside side of highway.
Is there any limitation to use sumerged pump for this drum (pump similar to hydrocarbon sump drum)?
What is best configuration for pump and discharge line location in end side of the vessel: first pump and then flare header or ....?
Is there any practice for this issue?
By knowing that we have only fire case PSV (blocked outlet is liquid within our system as liquid filled without gas generation) is it required to worry about mentioned low point?
Becasue flared gas will be high temperature during flaring and condensation is very hard in the header and low point?
Please advise.
