When sizing up a vessel, what are the dimensionless parameters that I have to take into account such that the flow dynamics can be maintained?

I have a reactor of 1.2m diameter positioned vertically, and the gaseous reactants enters from the top. If I size up the reactor to 1.4m diameter, how should I correlated that to the position of the reactor fixed bed and the position of the burner?

Application: Formalin plant - silver process.
