dear all
I have a problem in simulation of header line to a flare tip. the problem is that whatever the inlet pressure of a control valve is, the upstream pressure of the line next to it, doesnot change. i dont know if its correct or no. if any body knows anything about this problem, plz help me. thanks

I mean that if i set the inlet pressure of control valve on 100 bar or 1.073 bar the control valve outlet pressure does not change dramatically(1.022 to 1.042 bar)!!
what is my mistake?

Dear Mon,

Flarenet calculates only backpressure at outlet of CV and also the philosphy behind its calculation is from flare tip to CV outlet .

Hope this will serve your purpose

I believe the Flarenet Reference Manual is pretty detailed and easy to follow. You may consider joining in one of the Webinars that Aspentech arranges once in a while. Then you can learn a lot about Flarenet right on your work PC. You have to be registered with Aspentech online to get an invite of the web seminar though. On the other hand you can try searching for a training session from Aspentech. Nobody will publish proprietary stuff for you in an online forum as you have requested.
