Dear Experts,

I am stuck with the problem, that I want to prepare Dimethyl amine solution (Conc 40%) in water.
I have the following data available with me:

Mol Wt- 45.08
Sp. Gravity of gas -1.55
Boiling Pt: 6.89 C
Solubility in water: 23.7 % (At 60 C temp. & 1 Atm pressure)
Flammability limits: 2.8(Lower) -14.4(Upper)
Heat of dissolution: -286 Kcal/Kg

My planning is to to take 4000 Kg batch of 40% DMA solution.
For that I would take 2400 Kg water at 30 C & bring the temperature of water to 5 C by circulating Chilled Brine (Having temperature -15 C)in jacket. And then passing DMA gas through Sparger into Water.
A scrubber arrangement is also considered for undissolved DMA scrubbing.

I want to know:
1)The Flow rate at which I should pass the Gas
2) Special Safety considerations.
3) Scrubbing liquid to use in Scrubber

Please let me know if any further data required.

Thank you in Advance.
