1. IS HTRI calculates Design press . & Design Temp. values , if client has not gven these valus . what inputs reqquired in HTRI to get these values ?

2. when to be calculate / consider nozzles on head ?

3. for nozzle sizing what thumb rule to be used ? specially wth HTRI

@sacc

1) HTRI is only for thermal design of h.e. not a mechanical design. it doesnt care about design condition. while u run HTRI it wont ask you design pre/temp. yes but in HTRI output u will see a mechanical design pres/temp. which is a default value.

2) ur question is not clear what exactly u wanted to know. be cleare

3) nozzle sizes in done by HTRI based on TEMA inlet/outlet Rho*V2 value. however u can increase the nozzle size in HTRI. just be cautious while reducing the size that you wont see vibration flags because of higher Rho*V2 value.

hope this helps

Hi expert..
I just wonder what is the maximum RVSQ for the nozzle since we do not see any vibration flag?
